Course Info

Summary

Environmental Geoscience is available at both the BSc and BSc (honours) level. Our curriculum allows you to achieve registration as a professional environmental geoscientist. It includes a core of courses at the first and second year levels in common with geology majors, and diverges at the third year level to incorporate courses in geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology, and environmental science. Outside the department of Earth and Environmental Science, you will also study biology, chemistry, math and physics.

Be Inspired
Environmental Geoscience requires multidisciplinary study, which ensures you will acquire a wide range of expertise. You will learn about the dynamics and history of our planet, and how they impact the environmental, energy and mining industries, both within Canada and abroad.

Small class sizes, frequent field trips and a close-knit community ensure that you develop a strong network, which typically continues long past graduation. The integration of field work and technology gives you hands-on experience and exposure to all aspects of environmental geoscience. Faculty members are dedicated to your success and provide individual attention.
